The Port operates frequent ferry sailings to Scotland and
England, offering passenger, car and commercial freight services.
Passenger Service
With passenger services from Cairnryan and Fleetwood, the
Port of Larne offers passenger facilities on a par with any
modern international airport terminal, providing comfortable
lounges, a cafeteria, car hire, shop and special facilities
for nursing mothers and the disabled. There is ample free
parking and direct access for rail and coach passengers.
Freight Service
Freight customers have the choice of three destinations from
the Port of Larne - Cairnryan, Fleetwood and Troon. A one-stop
freight centre provides a more flexible and efficient service
to our customers. In one fast smooth operation, vehicles are
weighed, checked-in and drivers directed into the appropriate
marshalling lanes.

Fleetwood and Troon.
The Gateway to Europe
The Port of Larne is located on the East Coast of Northern
Ireland, just a short hop from Scotland and England. This strategic

Ireland, North and South.
There are excellent transport links from the Scottish ports
of Cairnryan and Troon and the English port of Fleetwood to

Roads
Northern Ireland has a first-class transport infrastructure.
Roads are of a high standard and relatively uncongested. No
part of Northern Ireland is more than 2 hours drive from the
Port of Larne, while Belfast is just 25 minutes away. Dublin
can be reached within three hours, Cork in six.
Bus and Train
Translink provides a regular bus service directly to the Passenger
Terminal and links the Port of Larne to the all-Ireland rail
network.
