Sriracha Harbour, Thailand first and largest private port, is
a deep water terminal designed principally for handling all
kinds of cargoes including containers. It is strategic located
in the centre of the Eastern Seaboard development region coastline,
natural sheltered by Si Chang Island directly to the West. Sriracha
is ideally situated for ease of access to many of the new industrial
estates now in operation, and under construction in Thailand.
It is also easy to reach Bangkok by land and sea transportation.
Port Management and Control
Sriracha Harbour Deep Seaport offers the fastest,
most efficient service of its kind in Thailand and the first
port in Thailand able to accomodate vessels up to 100,000
dwt. In fact, the largest vessel to have berthed her was 124,000
dwt. in late 1995. Sriracha Harbour looks after every aspect
of service for visiting vessels and with 4 berths, is able
to offer confirmed reservations eliminating expensive waiting
periods. The location of Sriracha Harbour ensures that it
is accessible and fully usable for 95% of the year. Neighboring
Koh Si Chang Island provides a perfect natural windbreak and
safe harbour. The one-stop-service offered by Sriracha Harbour
includes everything from pre-berthing customs clearance to
cargo delivery and, with on party responsibility, wastage
of time, effort and money is reduced to a bare minimum. That's
how SRH can handle over 3 million tons per year. SRH arranges
customs clearance prior to berthing so as soon as the vessel
is berthed, discharge can begin. SRH's twin rail-mounted finish
port cranes can handle all kinds of general cargo, bulk, break
bulk and also happen to be the fastest steel scrap unloader
in the ASEAN. Double-handling is avoided with SRH's own fleet
of trucks which rool of the jetty, through the twin computerized
weightbridges, and onto the main arteries of the EAST, link
to SRH with numerous industrial estates of the East of Bangkok,
